Flamingo Skull

With its jaw fused to its cranium, the Flamingo Skull (Phoenicopterus ruber) is a one-part skull. The shallow waters of the Galapagos Islands, the Caribbean, northern South America, and Florida are home to flamingos. The flamingo’s legs and neck are the longest among all birds in relation to its body size. By holding its unique bill underwater, it can extract tiny food particles from water thanks to the bristles on both its tongue and bill.
